About the Founder

 Girl Code Mentoring is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering middle and high school girls ages 12-18. Our mission is to develop, encourage and inspire teen girls to grow into the best version of themselves-confident, resilient and ready to thrive. 

Founded by Myechia J. Hudson, Girl Code Mentoring was created to make a meaningful impact in the community by equipping girls with the tools, guidance and support needed to sustain mental, emotional, and social well-being. Through intensive life skills workshops and the use of evidence-based strategies our program assists girls in the development of their own confidence and capabilities to live health, balanced lives. 

Myechia is a master's level social worker and dedicated mental health advocate, with extensive experience in school-based therapy, inpatient psychiatric care for youth and medical social work. Passionate about helping young girls overcome life's challenges, Myechia understands firsthand the powerful role mentorship plays in shaping a child's long-term success.
